Wolfs Off Leash

  We took a nice drive from Rapid city to Sturgis. Unfortunately we did not stop at all, just drove through. We took another drive down to the Black Hills National Forest near Spearfish, SD. The drive provided amazing scenery. We came along the spearfish river, where the fish were so easily visible and then South Dakota's, Bridal Veil falls. We continued on to Roughlock Falls. The falls were located just a short walk from the parking area. As we approached the falls, I expected to look up, but instead to look down. The falls were absolutely stunning and relaxing to stand, watch, and listen as the water flows down to a clear pool below, where we were able to see more fish swimming.  On our way back, we saw 3 white mountain goats up on the side of the hill.                                                           So...

 We took a drive to Custer State Park from our stay in Hot springs on 9/20/20 . We were able to see a few bison, a fox, many prairie dogs, deer, antelope, friendly donkeys looking to be hand fed and more.  When we traveled from Hot Springs, SD to Rapid City, SD, we traded in our pretty Red 2013 Ram 3500 for a 2020 Ford F-350 Dually. We had 12 days to put 1000 miles on it to break it in before towing, so we drove back to Custer state park, with the hope we would see a lot more wildlife. Unbeknowst to us, the day before was the buffalo/bison roudup; where all the bison are rounded up and herded to the bison corrals. There they will be branded and health checks are conducted and vaccinations given. We did get to see the bison in the corrals.                                                            ...

  Took a nice drive with our Radpower E-bikes up to the adorable town of Crested Butte. The town is more known for being a snow skiing town. There were bike paths everywhere for us to take. Came across a bike park, which Neil decided he would try. Then came across a path that was closed due to birds nesting- That is pretty cool! At the end of our bike ride, we found a cute outdoor seated restuarant. I got fish and chips (just ok), and Neil got pizza. After lunch, we went to shopping at a few local shops. We met Max,  a beautiful white Golden retriever, that belong to a local store owner, that of course became Neil's new best friend. He did not want to leave Neil's side. I don't think Neil has met a dog yet that does not fall in love with him right away. He must have some dog whispering abilites, he forgot to tell me about.                              (Oh so many paths to take)      ...
