Red Rock NP, Kayaked to Emerald Cave, and E-bike around Las Vegas, NV (3/17/2021-3/24/2021) Blog post 144

We are back in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are staying at the Thousand Trails Las Vegas park. Oh this is a very very tight park. I think it is a given that if you stay at this park, plan on moving your tow vehicle multiple times to allow for your neighbors to be able to get in an out of their sites, but once in it is not a bad park.

While in the park, we noticed a huge 5th wheel with "Switch it up" all over it and a green and black truck to match. I started following them (Todd and Shiela Konitzer) on YouTube, IG/FB. We did not know at the time that they would become one of our favortite to watch. One day as we were taking a walk, we passed by Sheila and Todd as they were getting ready to go out on a motorcycle ride. As we were passing I mentioned to them, that we just started following them, but I don't think they heard me, because of the motorcycle sound and we were wearing our masks (pre vaccination time).

On another walk, I saw another Youtube family that we follow "Oneanchoredfam" Josh, Tori, and kids.

While in Vegas, we visited the Red Rock National Park. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and amazing the rocks look. In one of the pictures you can see rock climbers. We drove the 13 mile loop through the park, getting out periodically to take pictures. There are so many trails to take here.

One eveining we decided to binge watch Switch it up. Todd had just posted a video about a kayaking trip that they just did outside of Vegas.  We decided to go Kayaking to the Emerald Cave located on the Colorado River in Arizona. We drove 1 hour from Vegas to Willow Beach, AZ. The park entrance was $25 or Free with the National Parks Pass.  We launched the kayak and 1.5 hours later we arrived to the cave where we waited our turn in line for about 20 minutes.

(Pre-vaccination about to go into cave with many other Kayakers)

(Water so clear)

Bike Ride on the Angel Park and Bonanza Trails Las Vegas, Nevada

Drove to Angel Park in Las Vegas, NV. Took bike path from Angel Park all the way to the Bonanza Trail. Stopped for lunch and then back on the trail to complete a 5.2 mile ride. This was a fun ride, especially after we changed out our bike seats from the Velo plush seats that the rad power ebikes came with to the LaGOOn bike seat, which has made a difference on the rear end lol.

(Lunch Time)
