Hideout Golf club and Resort, and Brownwood Lake, Brownwood, Texas (10/27/20 to 11/3/2020) Blog post 127
We are staying at the Hideout Golf club and Resort, in Brownwood, Texas. This park is part of our Coast to Coast membership.
When we finally arrived to the resort, we became confused because there were no signs indicating where we were to go. I pulled into the first parking lot and was immediately met by a grounds keeper asking if we were lost. He attempted to give us very complicated instructions on where we were to go. We had to make a u-turn with our 41.5-44 ft (depending if bikes are on the back), in a parking lot that does not have enough room. Unfortunately, Neil and I seemed to have become accustomed to this type of situation and though there is some cursing that might happen, we were able to get turned around. We were instructed to drive down the street to the next entrance where the main Golf Resort check in is located.
After getting checked in and provided a key to the lock on the power post, we were instructed to drive back the way we came about 2 miles until we reach the Rv park on the left side of the road and across from the Golf Course.
The RV park has 17 sites all together. We were assigned one of the pull thru sites with FHU, 50Amps. Each site looked to have what we think were Smokers.
We enjoyed watching the many deer that graze on the golf course several times a day.
We rode our bike on 2 separate occasions to Brownwood Lake and in the evenings we would ride our bikes around the golf course.
