Hot Springs, Cascade Springs, Upper Chautauqua Park & Angostura Reservoir in South Dakota (9/18 - 9/21/20) Blog post 120

After 2 days of traveling from Colorado Springs, Colorado, we arrived at the KOA in Hot Springs, South Dakota for 4 days. Prior to leaving our last location, which is worth mentioning; We stayed at the Robidoux Rv park in Gering, Nebraska. This was a beautifully well kept park with a incredible view of Scotts Bluff.

On our 1st day we drove to the Angostura Reservoir for a incredible bike ride. The views were slightly hazy from all the wildfires in California and Colorado.

Our very next day we took a drive and found a few hidden oasis's. First we found Cascade Falls, in Northeast fall river, South Dakota. The waters were so clear and beautiful. There were several pools to just put your feet in or actually take a swim, though a bit cold for me, but I put my feet in. While there we planted our next "findmyrock". The next morning, I got a message/tag on Instagram, with a picture of a little girl, named Ellie age 6, holding my rock. Her mom wrote that she is keeping the rock until she replants it in the Black Hills forest near their home in Rapid City, South Dakota.

After leaving Cascades falls, we drove to what appeared to be a small park. I am so glad we stopped to explore, for I believe this is my favorite park. it is called the Upper Chautauqua park in Hot Springs, SD.

On our very last day, we visited Hot Springs Falls, fall river, a nature spring water fountain, and Hot springs City hall.
