Our last Christmas in our house 2019! Blog post 11

The house has been on the market since 11/4/2019. We have had multiple offers on the house. Some were outragdously riduculous asking prices and others within $50,000 of asking price. We decided to decline the offers, thinking that we are not in such a hurry to sell to such low offers. About 1 week before Christmas, we had a lovely couple with a 10 week old baby view and fall in love with the house. They made an offer for full asking price. Escrow set to close on January 15, 2020.

With escrow not due to close until the 15th of January, it meant that we would be spending one last christmas in the house, though it would be bitter sweet. We were excited about starting the next chapter in our lives, but it did not feel like Christmas. The house was so empty. Allison was living in Alaska and would spend her first Christmas there. Tim usually is unable to get leave, so it was just Neil and I, and our 3 golden babies. This was the first Christmas in my 51 years that I did not have a christmas tree.
