Our first night as Full time Rvers! Blog post 19

After loading Casey, Summer, and Autumn into the RV, and all the remaining boxes onto our bed, bathroom, shower, living room, and backseat of the truck, we set the GPS to KOA Temecula, only 113 miles from our home, estimated travel time just over 2 hours.

We left at 2pm and arrived almost at 7pm.  We forgot to take into account all of the Los Angeles rush hour traffic. We were both getting extremely nervous because the girls have been in the RV the entire trip, and it was getting dark and the last thing we wanted to do was arrive and set up for our first time in the dark.

We arrived finally at KOA, already after 6pm and dark. There was no escort to our site, but we made it.
It was not until the morning that we learned that we pulled into the site facing the wrong way LOL.  We had to hitch back up and turn the RV around.

We were only scheduled to stay at this KOA for 1 day. We spent that 1 day unloading all the boxes from the house trying to consolidate them.
