Monticello Hydroelectric Dam, Glory Hole and drive to Napa, Ca (4/27/20) Blog post 59

Directly above our RV park is the Monticello dam. We took a drive today up the road to view the dam and the Glory Hole spillway. If the water level goes above 440 feet, water will flow through it into the Putah Creek. Kind of scary, it is so big, the thought of someone falling through. The only safety that I saw, was a line of plastic barrier to warn swimmers and boaters not to go beyond it.

From there, we traveled on down the road seeing the beautiful Napa Valley hills.
