Camp Verde, AZ- Not so fun! (2/19/20) Blog post 36
We left KOA Circle pines and headed for Camp Verde, Az. We arrived at Distant Drums RV resort. The RV park is kept so pristine, and with that said a lot of rules!
(Ready to come out, just waiting for dad to put our ramp up. Autumn is looking at Neil pulling out ramp)
We were escorted to our RV site by a very NICE camp worker. She even help guide us into the very tight spot. We immediately got Autumn and Casey out to do their business, when another park worker came up to Neil and informed him that the dogs must be on a leash at all times no exceptions. Neil looked at the guy and said "OKAY!" and the guy pulled away. Neil was so upset after that. We had only been at the park for 10 minutes maybe and our reservations was for 3 days.
It was Wednesday, and a storm was coming on Friday. So we decided to shorten our stay at Distant Drums and extend at our next stop.
We decided to take the next day to refill our propane tanks and then go explore downtown. We found a parking spot right at the corner of downtown. I went to open the door to get my jacket from the back seat and the newly refilled propane tank came rolling out of the back seat right onto my foot. Of course it wasn't the 20 gallon tank, it was the 30 gallon tank! Fortunately, I don't believe I broke it (not the propane tank, my toe), not that anything could be done to fix it.
Very happy to leave Camp Verde.
