Idaho Falls, Idaho (May 2021) Blog post 152

We stopped for a bathroom break somewhere in Irwin, Idaho right next to the Snake River. Wow the views and we saw an eagle or hawk and its nest.  Rest stops have become some what of an adventure for us now. We are always on the lookout for places that look like they would provide a nice shady area to rest, stretch and get a bite to eat. Oh and having a gorgeous view won't hurt! We are staying at the the Snake River RV park in Idaho Falls, Idaho.   I like this park because of its proximity to the falls. The Rv park is located next to the freeway offramp, but noise has not been an issue. The area outside the park appears very sketchy, but once inside the park, it is like a little oasis.  We love riding our bikes around the falls and then riding all the way to Freeman park. Freeman park is a very large park with Frisbee golf through out.  1st bathroom break with incredible views! 2nd Bathroom break at the Clark Hill Rest area overlooking the Snake River IDAHO FALLS...

After leaving Garden City, Utah, we headed down Hwy 89 towards Thayne, WY.  We stopped for a bathroom break at the Salt River Pass and learned of the Lander cut-off   STAR VALLEY RANCH RV PARK- $47/Nt FHU 50 AMP Pullthru-  This is a very huge park and golf course, nestled between 3 mountains, still with a bit of snow. We were assigned two back-in sites due to our length. The site was perfect for us and we had the whole lane to ourselves.  Just a bit after we arrived, the clouds  started becoming darker, followed by snow flurry’s. By the next morning we had awoken to snow on the mountains around us, but within 4 hours, the snow had almost all melted. THE NEXT MORNING AFTER IT SNOWED AND JUST LIKE THAT IT WAS GONE
